Course Description

Database Design using Oracle Database
Database Design using Oracle Database

Oracle Database (commonly referred to as Oracle RDBMS or simply as Oracle) is an object-relational database management system[3] produced and marketed by Oracle Corporation.
In this course, the student will gain the fundamental knowledge and skills to configure Oracle Database, manage memory and storage effectively, as well as deploy essential procedures to maintain data, user accounts and privileges. You also learn to ensure availability of data by deploying backup, recovery and flashback operations. During this course, you gain experience with a variety of oracle tools including Oracle Enterprise Manager (CEM) Cloud Control, Data Pump and SQL*Plus.

What Will I Learn?

  • Introduction to Oracle Databases
  • Starting Up and Shutting Down the Database
  • Creating Databases
  • Oracle Data Dictionary and DBA Tools
  • Managing Tablespaces and Datafiles
  • Managing Undo Tablespaces
  • Managing Users and Their Resources
  • Space Management
